Resource purchase request is a service offered to the university community to request
purchasing a new resource that is not available in the library collection.
Before filling out the form, please read carefully the below:

Kindly first check the availability of the requested title in the library collection, if it is not available, please check Liwa. If the desired book is found in either of the following formats:
Printed Book: Click on the link "Request Item through Tipasa" form to borrow the book
from the libraries within Liwa.
E -Book: Fill out the Resource Sharing form and specify the chapters you wish to obtain.
If the titleis not available try to find alternative titles from the library collection, if there
are no alternatives, please fill out this form and make sure adding reasons and comments
that support the request.
As an academic library UAEU libraries prioritize purchasing resources that support
teaching, learning, and research, we will be glad if you let us track your use of
the resource.
UAEU Libraries prefer to have an e-book format unless you believe a print copy is
more beneficial for you (Please indicate in the Comments area).
Purchasing of print copies where no suitable e-book license is available.
UAEU Libraries will not purchase books where the latest bibliographic references are
older than three (3) years for scientific or technical works or five (5) years in
the social sciences or humanities unless it is a seminal or core work in that discipline.

The maximum number of requests allowed per semester will be determined according to
the need.
All requests will be reviewed and evaluated then raised for approval. We will contact
you if we require additional information or if we are able/unable to order your request.
