Undergraduate Scholarships
A tuition fees discount may be granted to students enrolled at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) under the “Scholarship Students” category to pursue their undergraduate studies. This discount is determined in accordance with the university’s approved policies and regulations and aligned with the Federal Higher Education Institutions Governance Resolution. Meeting the scholarship eligibility criteria does not constitute an entitlement to, or guarantee of, a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded subject to the availability of allocated scholarship seats. The discount applies to the categories, effective from the academic year 2025/2026 and onwards:
- International students (enrolled from inside or outside the UAE).
- Children of UAEU faculty members and staff.
Note: These conditions apply to new students admitted from the academic year 2025/2026 onwards. Conditions and policies in place before this date remain applicable to students admitted earlier.
The United Arab Emirates University offers this scholarship as one of its leading initiatives to attract top-performing high school graduates. This competitive scholarship aims to support academic and scientific excellence and is awarded to new students with outstanding academic performance, providing a full tuition waiver in accordance with the criteria and conditions specified below:
Eligibility Conditions:
- Achieving a minimum of (98%) in the General Secondary School Certificate (Grade 12) or its
- Fulfilling all general admission requirements and the specific qualifications of the intended college/academic program.
- Demonstrating English proficiency through one of the following approved tests with a minimum score:
- TOEFL ITP: 590 points
- TOEFL IBT: 105 points
- TOEFL CPT: 233 points
- Academic IELTS: 7.5 points
- Demonstrating mathematics proficiency for all colleges (except College of Business and Economics, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Education, and College of Law) by obtaining one of the following scores:
- SAT-MATH: 730 points
- ACT-MATH: 32 points
- Demonstrating Arabic proficiency (for the College of Law only) by achieving a minimum score of (6.5) in the Al Ain Arabic Language Test.
Scholarship Benefits:
- A 100% discount on tuition fees only (the scholarship does not cover housing & admission application fees).
Scholarship Continuation Conditions:
- Maintaining a cumulative GPA of no less than (3.8) throughout the study duration at UAEU.
- Registering for a minimum of (15) credit hours per regular semester.
- The student must not hold another scholarship.
- The duration of the scholarship must not exceed the normal semesters required for graduation according to the study plan of the academic program, unless otherwise stated.
- Any change in the academic program, major, or study load, including course withdrawal, may affect the continuation of the scholarship.
- The scholarship continues until graduation, provided the student complies with the mentioned conditions and terms.
- The university reserves the right to revoke the scholarship in case the student commits any academic or behavioral violations that breach the integrity code or university regulations.
Application Process:
- New international students: graduates of public and private schools and international students may apply via the university’s electronic admission system (link).
- Current students: enrolled students at the university may submit an appeal or upgrade request for the scholarship via the portal (link).
Application Deadlines:
- First semester of the academic year: May, June, and July.
- Second semester of the academic year: September, October, and November.
