Undergraduate Scholarships

The United Arab Emirates University offers this scholarship as one of its leading initiatives to attract top-performing high school graduates. This competitive scholarship aims to support academic and scientific excellence and is awarded to new students with outstanding academic performance, providing a 75% tuition waiver in accordance with the criteria and conditions specified below.

Eligibility Conditions:

• Achieving a minimum of (95%) in the General Secondary School Certificate (Grade 12) or its equivalent.
• Fulfilling all general admission requirements and the specific qualifications of the intended college/academic program.
• Demonstrating English proficiency through one of the following approved tests with a minimum score:
• TOEFL ITP: 550 points
• TOEFL IBT: 85 points
• TOEFL CPT: 193 points
• Academic IELTS: 6.5 points
• Demonstrating mathematics proficiency for all colleges (except College of Business and Economics, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Education, and College of Law) by obtaining one of the following scores:
• SAT-MATH: 660 points
• ACT-MATH: 28 points
• Demonstrating Arabic proficiency (for the College of Law only) by achieving a minimum score of (5.5) in the Al Ain Arabic Language Test.

Scholarship Benefits:

• A 75% discount on tuition fees only (the scholarship does not cover housing & admission application fees).

Scholarship Continuation Conditions:

• Maintaining a cumulative GPA of no less than (3.6) throughout the study duration at UAEU.
• Registering for a minimum of (15) credit hours per regular semester.
• The student must not hold another scholarship.
• The duration of the scholarship must not exceed the normal semesters required for graduation according to the study plan of the academic program, unless otherwise stated.
• Any change in the academic program, major, or study load, including course withdrawal, may affect the continuation of the scholarship.
• The scholarship continues until graduation, provided the student complies with the mentioned conditions and terms.
• The university reserves the right to revoke the scholarship in case the student commits any academic or behavioral violations that breach the integrity code or university regulations.

• Passing any additional tests or interviews (if required).

This scholarship aims to enable children of faculty members and staff to continue their undergraduate studies through a full tuition waiver, in accordance with the approved criteria and conditions.

Eligibility Conditions:

• Completion of High School (Grade 12) Certificate, or its equivalent, no more than one year prior to the date of submitting the admission application.
• Fulfilling all general admission requirements and the specific qualifications of the intended college/academic program.
• Providing a “To Whom It May Concern” letter issued by the Human Resources Department at the university, stating the parent’s job title and confirming their employment status at the time of application.

Scholarship Benefits:

• A 100% direct discount on tuition fees only (the scholarship does not cover housing & admission application fees).

Scholarship Continuation Conditions:

• Maintaining good academic standing throughout the study duration at UAEU.
• The student must not hold another scholarship.
• The duration of the scholarship must not exceed the normal semesters required for graduation according to the study plan of the academic program, unless otherwise stated.
• Any change in the academic program, major, or study load, including course withdrawal, may affect the continuation of the scholarship.
• The scholarship continues until graduation, provided the student complies with the mentioned conditions and terms.

Application Deadlines:

• The Scholarship Committee is authorized to upgrade a scholarship to a higher category if the student’s cumulative GPA improves during two consecutive academic semesters, based on a request submitted by the student and in accordance with the approved rules and criteria.
  
  
• The university may temporarily suspend or permanently cancel a scholarship in accordance with approved regulations and systems, if the student fails to meet the continuation conditions, including GPA and credit hour requirements, or commits any academic or behavioral violations.
  
  
• The scholarship is canceled if the student changes the college or the academic program; the student may submit a new application for a scholarship, which will be considered in accordance with the prevailing rules and criteria at that time.
  
  
• The student has the right to submit an appeal to the Scholarship Committee to reinstate the scholarship, provided they present evidence of an exceptional circumstance that affected their academic performance and meet the previous scholarship criteria. The relevant committee will review the appeal, and its decision is final. If the appeal is accepted, the scholarship will be reinstated starting from the next semester.
  
  
• The student may submit a new application for another scholarship in case of cancellation for any reason, subject to the evaluation of their academic performance and the approved criteria.
  
  
• The student must submit the appeal to the relevant committee within (30 days) from the date of the official cancellation notice. Appeals submitted after this period will not be considered unless documented reasons are provided and accepted by the committee, in accordance with the university’s approved policies.
