Undergraduate Admissions
General Admission Requirements (UAE Nationals & Children of UAE National mothers - Classified as P1)
- Completion of High School (Grade 12) Certificate, or its equivalent, no more than one year prior to the date of submitting the admission application.
- A certificate of equivalency issued by the Ministry of Education in the UAE is required for students who have obtained their Grade 12 certificate (or its equivalent) from abroad, or from private secondary schools that follow non-UAE governmental systems.
- Proof of English language proficiency, demonstrated by obtaining a minimum score of
(80%) in the English subject on the Grade 12 certificate issued by the UAE Ministry of
Education, or one of the following equivalent internationally recognized English proficiency
tests:

- TOEFL ITP: 500 points
- TOEFL iBT: 61 points
- TOEFL CBT: 173 points
- IELTS (Academic): 5.0 points

- Students from non-MOE national curricula who have studied in a non-English medium school are required to prove English proficiency by passing internationally recognized standardized tests as determined by the university.
- Students are admitted on a competitive basis considering their academic qualifications and English score, and based on the maximum capacity of the University, available spaces in university hostels, and available seats in the different colleges/programs.
- Priority is given to applicants with the highest scores in subject areas relevant to their chosen major, in case the number of applicants exceeds available capacity, knowing that satisfying the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to a specific college.
- The applicant must not have been dismissed from any educational institution for academic or disciplinary reasons.
- The university reserves the right to cancel the admission without prior notice if students fail to meet the required conditions and criteria
Special Consideration:
- Admission to the Doctor of Medicine Program in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences is limited to UAE nationals and children of Emirati mothers. This program allows students to go through a single admission cycle in the fall semester only.
- Admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Program is primarily for UAE nationals and children of Emirati mothers. International students are admitted only if they have exceptional scholarships, demonstrated high level of academic achievement and after review and approval by the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, to ensure alignment with the program’s goals and standards. This program admits students through a single admission cycle in the fall semester only.
- EmSAT English test with a minimum score of 1100, is accepted only if taken before the official cancellation of the test and the certificate remains valid.
- A native English-speaking applicant who has completed high school in an English-medium school and in a country where English is the official language is exempted from the English admission requirement.
- Students who graduated from private schools that follow non-UAE governmental systems (such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate – Higher Level (IB HL), or GCE (A-Level) are exempt from the English language proficiency requirement.
- International certificates are assessed based on the approved equivalency criteria of the UAE Ministry of Education, taking into consideration academic performance in specialized subjects relevant to each study program.
- Students admitted to the University may earn advanced standing credit for academic work during high school such as the Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), General Certificate of Education (GCE), or any other programs approved by the University.
- The applicant must be in good medical, physical, and mental health to pursue university studies. Applicants with medical conditions or who are People of Determination must disclose their condition during the application process and submit a recent medical report. This is to allow the university to assess the case and provide appropriate support in line with its regulations.

**Important Note: Admission criteria for students in Category 2 (P2) and Category 3 (P3), as well as for international students and children of university employees, will be announced at a later time, along with the applicable tuition fees for these categories, in accordance with the approved policies.
