Mission

The OIE fosters continuous improvement across UAEU, ensures ongoing compliance with national and international accreditation standards, and disseminates accurate and timely data and research reports to both internal and external stakeholders in order to facilitate the decision-making processes, ensure quality and support the institution’s mission.

The office fulfills its mission in the following ways:

• Oversees the implementation of the university policy on academic program review.
• Coordinates and supports CAA and WSCUC accreditation processes.
• Monitors and supports international accreditation of eligible academic programs.
• Provides accurate and timely institutional data and analyses about the University to internal units and external stakeholders in support of their planning, assessment, and evidence-based decision-making needs.
• Collects, and analyzes institutional data, and disseminates information through periodic and ad hoc reports.
• Develops and maintains a learning outcomes assessment framework that streamlines all learning outcomes assessment activities at UAEU and fosters the attainment of the intended learning outcomes.
• Ensures the alignment of the assessment activities with national & international standards, and outlines and oversees the execution of the processes that facilitate the continuous improvement of students' learning experiences.
