UAE University and Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center launch Positive
Education Project

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the Board of
Directors of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions,
said that the practical education is continuing with positive education, and the knowledge
the child is obtaining has doubled than 20 years ago.
The Emirates Center for Happiness Research at the United Arab Emirates University
has organized a retreat, with the participation of deans of colleges, representatives
of a number of public institutions, and the Comprehensive Wellness Clinic Dubai.
Parag Kulkarni is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer and Network
Engineering at the College of IT, UAE University (UAEU). He is broadly interested
in the design and application of technology to solve problems in different domains
and the associated commercialization aspects.
Dr. Raina Chajjar
Assistant Professor
Dr. Raina Chajjar has acquired her PhD in Psychology from MLS University, Udaipur.
She worked as a research associate at IIM Udaipur and was a visiting scholar at IIM
Bangalore. She was a visiting doctoral student at the Center for Positive Organizations,
University of Michigan for Winter, 2017.
Dr. Tatiana Karabchuk
Associate Professor
Dr. Tatiana Karabchuk (PhD) is associate professor of economic sociology, Department
of Government and Society, CHSS, UAE University and Council Member and Conference
Chair for World Association for Public Opinion Research. Tatiana successfully completed
more than 25 research projects and authored more than 35 academic articles in peer-reviewed
journals.
Dr. Rashed Alzahmi
Assistant Professor
Dr. Rashed Alzahmi is an Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Assistant Professor
of Business Administration at the College of Business and Economics in the UAE University.
Alzahmi is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and holds a Ph.D. in Workforce
Education and Development (WFED) with a specialization in Human Resource Development
and Organization Development from the Pennsylvania State University (PSU).
Dr. Mona Humaid Aljanahi
Assistant Professor
Dr. Mona Humaid Aljanahi is an Assistant Professor at the College of Education in
United Arab Emirates University. She holds a Ph.D in Curriculum & Instruction with
a concentration on Language & Literacy. She previously held the position of an English
instructor at both federal and private educational institutions in the United Arab
Emirates.
Dr. Khaled Galal Ahmed
Associate Professor
Dr. Khaled Galal Ahmed is Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Architectural
Engineering Master and PhD Programs. Dr. Khaled got his PhD from Welsh School of Architecture,
Cardiff University, UK. He worked as an architect and urban designer and his research
interest is related to sustainable architecture, urbanism and housing especially in
Socio-Cultural Impact, Urban Modeling Simulation, Walkability, Urban Morphology and
Energy Efficiency, Community Participation, and Urban Resilience.
Dr. Iffat El Barazi
Associate Professor
Dr Iffat El Barazi is working as an Associate Professor in the Institute of Public
Health in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University.
Her research interests include cancer education, women’s health, psychosocial and
mental health, chronic diseases prevention and healthy lifestyle determinants and
practices.
Dr. Yahya Nassar
Associate Professor
Yahya Hayati Bakr Nassar holds a BA. in Psychology from the University of Jordan MA
in Educational Psychology: Educational Psychology from the University of Jordan (Jordan
1993), and a Ph.D. In the field of research and evaluation from Ohio University/ USA.
He worked in several universities, including King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura
University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite University in the Hashemite
Kingdom of Jordan.
