Infrastructure and Core Technology (ICT)
Infrastructure and Core Technologies Department provides innovative, customer-focused and robust foundations for information, communication and technology solutions. ICT is developing the University’s server and network infrastructure to enable it to pursue excellence in research, teaching and learning in order to enhance the students’ experience. ICT also seeks to establish trust with customers through professionalism, high quality customer service and commitment to teamwork. ICT consists of Enterprise Network, Enterprise Security, Telecommunication, Enterprise UNIX Servers and Storage, Enterprise Windows Servers and Storage as well as E-mail and Collaboration Services. All these Units work together to ensure that all the aspects of the physical computing networks are delivered to all UAEU students, faculty and staff; these include Internet and e-mail services for work, study and research.
ICT Department includes a team of professional engineers and technical experts who not only work on enhancing the current deployment of servers and network in the campus, but also manages the network infrastructure that supports data, video and voice communication with the associated infrastructure and devices. ICT also provides and implements overall security infrastructure to ensure protection, confidentiality and integrity of information.
