The UAEU SIP was launched by the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of co-ordination and interaction between the public and private sectors to pursue development and attract the larger number of creative energies and minds who have innovative ideas in different scientific streams and specializations like environment, health, education, space and engineering.
The mission of the UAEU Science and Innovation Park is to lead innovation and encourage an entrepreneurial environment in the UAE. It seeks to do so by creating an active and productive link between
national and international stakeholders; by supporting the production and commercialization of innovative products; and by helping to develop tomorrow’s business leaders.
The UAEU Science and Innovation Park will address national weaknesses in global competitiveness in terms of innovation, market share and entrepreneurship. This will be done by enhancing start-up skills, understanding what constitutes acceptable risk taking, networking, use of modern technology and improving innovative processes.
Aims at improving the performance of early-stage startup and young SME nurturing talent and entrepreneurial skills, and provision of entrepreneurial training programs. Creates favourable conditions for the newly established startup and for the expansion of often fragile new young companies. Provide office space, ideation space and co-working space for young companies and early-stage startup in the pre-implementation phase. The utilization of the space includes shared services and facilities and specific services such as: training, marketing, financial appraisals, etc.
The Prototype-To-Market (P2M) is an action-oriented accelerator program that focusses on how to successfully Manufacture Startup Success.
