About Us

The UAEU SIP was launched by the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Speaking on the occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of co-ordination and interaction between the public and private sectors to pursue development and attract the larger number of creative energies and minds who have innovative ideas in different scientific streams and specializations like environment, health, education, space and engineering.

Mission

The mission of the UAEU Science and Innovation Park is to lead innovation and encourage an entrepreneurial environment in the UAE. It seeks to do so by creating an active and productive link between national and international stakeholders; by supporting the production and commercialization of innovative products; and by helping to develop tomorrow’s business leaders.

Goals

The UAEU Science and Innovation Park will address national weaknesses in global competitiveness in terms of innovation, market share and entrepreneurship. This will be done by enhancing start-up skills, understanding what constitutes acceptable risk taking, networking, use of modern technology and improving innovative processes.

Areas of Focus

• Leadership: To inspire, engage, coach and guide Emirati students, graduates from UAE universities and investors to play a leading role in the development of a knowledge-based economy through developing a training and mentoring program.
• Commercialization: Support the commercialization of new ideas, products and inventions by providing emerging business talent with the skills, startup support and advice.
• Partnerships: To become a bridge between stakeholders by developing a network of national and international partners.
