Dean’s Message

I would like to welcome you to University College at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). The mission of  University College is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their faculty-based programs of study at UAEU. University College courses emphasize communicative instructional techniques and are delivered through a variety of teaching modalities that allow for a flexible approach to learning.

The University College courses aim to improve students English language proficiency, enhance their mathematical and analytical skills, as well as further develop their creative thinking, critical thinking and leadership abilities. Through the provision of high-quality instruction, and the promotion of learner training and independent study, our aim is to help develop confident and able academic learners.

University College, through its Student Success Unit (SSU), also oversees self-access centers such as the Tutorial, Speaking, Writing and Technology Centers. All  provide academic support to the entire university community.

Our highly qualified instructors have a diversity of international teaching experiences and are dedicated to student success. We are committed to achieving excellence through student-centered learning, and to creating a vibrant and rewarding educational environment that offers cutting-edge learning and teaching facilities in line with the university s aspiration to be the 'University of the Future".
