As a result, the university has witnessed a significant growth in the outcomes of scientific research. This progress has had a notable impact on the global ranking of the university, particularly in 2023. Notably, the university's performance has earned it a position among the top 100 universities based on the number of patents from US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 2021.

H.E stressed that the university is committed to providing ongoing support for important research initiatives, advanced innovation, and scientific research with a global and societal impact. This commitment aligns with the university's ambitious strategic goals, which are derived from the principles of the next 50 years.

H.E, the Chancellor of the University, explained that the UAEU's RIS 2023-2026 is a clear affirmation of the university's sustainable educational approach, that is based on the knowledge economy. This approach involves implementing qualitative initiatives that enhance the university's position as a distinguished research and knowledge hub with international standards. Prof. Murad pointed out, “The Research and Innovation Strategy 2023-2026 holds significant importance as a strategic catalyst, positioning the university among the leading institutions in scientific advancement. At the university level, a steering committee and a technical committee, consisting of researchers, academics, faculty members, and administrators, have been established to develop a strategy that aligns with the research goals and the university's aspirations to foster scientific activity, creativity and innovation. Emphasizing areas of national priority, the university aims to expand its scientific endeavors.” He further emphasized that the university will continue to promote interdisciplinary research and encourage cooperation and resource integration among the various colleges, research centers, and industrial partners.
