The College of Business and Economics 17 students at the United Arab Emirates University won advanced places in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge 2022. The UAE University 8 teams participated in a six-week challenge with 946 teams from the top international universities.

Maitha Al Amiri, Hind Al Muhairi, and Reem Youssef Al Rumaithi, under the supervision of Prof. Mossadeq Khan, ranked 131st (top 14 %), and fifth in the Middle East and Africa, in the Bloomberg Global Trading Challenge 2022.

Hind Al Shamsi, Salha Al Shamsi, Nouf Al Shibli, Sarah Al Esayi, and Aisha Al Kuwaiti, under the supervision of Ms. Nida Syed from the Accounting and Finance Department, ranked 137th globally (top 15%) and sixth in the Middle East and Africa.

Khawla Al Shehhi, Shahd Al Shehhi, Shouq Al Shehhi, Maimouna Al Dhahouri, and Sheikha Al Shehhi, under the supervision of Dr. Zakaria Boulaanwar from the Accounting and Finance Department, ranked 252 globally (top 27 %) and tenth in the Middle East and Africa.

Mahra Al Shamsi, Amira Al Shamsi, Aisha Al Kaabi and Mahra Al Harmoudi under the supervision of Ms. Nida Syed from the Accounting and Finance Department, ranked 264th globally (top 28%) and 11th in the Middle East and Africa.

Prof. Mohamed Madi, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, said that these honorable results come within the framework of the college’s interest in achieving the UAE University vision to always be at the forefront of academic leadership in all events in order to enhance its scientific position by supporting distinguished students’ efforts to achieve continuous successes that benefit them in their educational career and contribute to the advancement of the "University of the Future" as future leaders.

The winners expressed their sense of pride in these results, which enhance the UAE citizens’ capabilities, to always be in advanced positions, to achieve the vision of our wise government, which provides the best higher education, with global academic outcomes and all the elements of technical and cultural progress to explore the future.

They thanked the university administration, which provided them with the means of excellence and leadership, and also thanked the faculty members, who prepared them to participate in that international competition, and to achieve those honorable results, which prompted them to move forward on the path of progress, development and prosperity to enhance the position of the UAE in all international levels.
