United Arab Emirates University is preparing to welcome 2,898 new students in the academic year 2022-2023

The United Arab Emirates University has accomplished the necessary preparations for the new academic year 2022-2023 welcoming 2,898 students in all academic disciplines, including 2,621 female students and 277 male students. 

Prof. Ghaleb Al Hadrami Al Breiki, Acting Vice Chancellor, accompanied by Prof. Aisha Salem Al Dhaheri, Associate Provost for Student Affairs, Prof. Matthew Evans, Acting Provost for Academic Affairs, Mr. Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Acting Secretary General, and Eng. Mohammed Al Owain, Director of Facilities Management Department, toured the campus facilities, especially hostels, activity centers, classrooms and laboratories.

Prof. Ghaleb Al Hadrami Al Breiki, Acting Vice Chancellor said that it is important to provide support for all the students, since the United Arab Emirates University “University of the Future”, still contributes to enhancing the country’s global position in the fields of science, research, innovation and exploration. The university has all competencies and experiences that contribute to achieving the UAE vision of excellence, leadership and sustainable development.

The Vice Chancellor also reviewed all the preparations to welcome the students, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the university staff in providing the best standards and plans for happiness of the students and the university community.

Prof. Aisha Salem Al Dhaheri, Associate Provost for Student Affairs, said that the university administration has accomplished all procedures to start the new academic year smoothly.  The university also has taken all necessary measures and provide all services and facilities in the UAEU campus.  She added that the orientation will be in two ways, online, on August 15 that gives the student an opportunity to learn about all the facilities, programs and activities designated for the new academic year. in addition, the students can visit the university’s website through the live broadcast, which has been designed in a way that enables the students to obtain all information on the virtual open day and directly learn the academic requirements, conditions and any other inquiries.

The university also set the placement test date on Sunday, August 16, the course registration from August 17 to August 19. and transport of students to the campus from their places of residence in various cities on Sunday, August 21.

She added that male and female students will be accommodated in the hostels in two ways, either the student chooses the hostel and the group, or the housing section will accommodate the students allocating Maqam hostels 1 and 3 for female students, and Seih bin Ammar hostel for male students.  1,780 male and female students will be accommodated from the various cities of the country.

The university administration called on students to abide by the campus life rules and regulations, which contribute to enhancing the smooth educational process through which the students can easily live and learn in the attractive campus life environment.
