Zaki Nusseibeh honours Dr. Abu Al-Wafa for winning first place in the Arab Universities’ research competition 2021

Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to H.H. the President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University congratulated Prof. Abu Al-Wafa Mohammed Abu Al-Wafa for winning first place in the 2021 research competition for faculty in Colleges of Law at Arab Universities.
His winning research paper was entitled The Competence of the Federal Attorney General and the Federal Prosecution for Emergency, Crises and Disasters with Respect to Regulations in Place to Control Violations of Precautionary Measures to Limit the Spread of the Covid-19 Virus and the Federal Criminal Procedure Law in the United Arab Emirates.
The Chancellor congratulated Dr. Abu Al-Wafa on his extensive academic career in the legal research field. He said that his pioneering achievements had become an important reference for scholars and practitioners in the field of Sharia and Criminal Law nationally and regionally.
Chancellor Nusseibeh said, "We are proud that the United Arab Emirates University has a leading and distinguished elite of expert faculty members whose work supports the university's strategy and enhances its position in all domains. Furthermore, the university strives to produce graduates who have knowledge and skills required by the labor market. Prof. Abu Al-Wafa holds a bachelor s degree (1984) in Sharia and Law from the College of Sharia and Law in Tanta, and a Masters (1989) and PhD (1994) in Sharia from the College of Sharia and Law - Al-Azhar University in Cairo. He has authored numerous legal studies and books and has chaired or participated in many master s and Doctoral theses defense committees.
