Tolerance and innovation …for achieving happiness and value of life:

Within the agenda of the National Program for Tolerance and Sincerity to the other, the United Arab Emirates University has organized a symposium entitled "Tolerance to Develop Innovation's Environment"On the Theater of the Coliseum – Crescent Building, which targets at scattering and connecting concepts of tolerance and innovation. The event was attended by Professor Hassan Al Naboodah, Dean of College of Humanities and Social Sciences ,Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar, Head of Psychology, Ms. Nouf Al-Junaibi, Chief Happiness Officer, Emirates Center for Happiness Research ,Dr. Najwa Al-Hosani, Vice Dean - College of Education, a number of faculty members, students, as well as five secondary schools from the Al- Ain Educational Office.

The seminar of "Tolerance to Develop Innovation's Environment" has been administered by Dr. Ahmed Almansouri, Department of Mass Communication and at the beginning of the seminar, the students of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences have presented a drama and a silent representation of the events about happiness and tolerance within the family in particular, which replicated the influence on the society in general. Ms. Nouf Al-Junaibi, has reviewed the concepts of happiness and the value of tolerance as a value of mercies, forgiveness and a new opportunity to create a consistent society that pursues and focuses on achievement, a value inspired by H.H.Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding leader, as one of the human genes in-built in the UAE citizens. Besides, she has reviewed the concept of happiness and how it relates to the value of life, through the promotion of psychological, physical health, and mental health to achieve a positive feeling, and how to deal with the abuse through tolerance and focus on success and achievement.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Najjar, Chair of the Psychology Department, highlighted that tolerance in its broad sense and its relation to innovation is closely related to the achievement of happiness, the capacity to tolerate the opposing idea and to employ it in favor of the creative idea in the creative way of the innovative human being. He also stressed that the formula of tolerance and determination, innovation and motivation. He also offered a series of exercises during the seminar with the participation of university students, schools and faculty members. "Tolerance and innovation in human life is a process that is ideologically and culturally linked to the system of human values.
