UAEU organizes ‘Zayed Life: Agriculture and Environment’The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) launched the activities of the event ‘Zayed Life: Agriculture and Environment’ at the College of Information Technology Building aiming to highlight the achievements of the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in preserving the environment and achieving UAE’s agricultural sustainability, being an inspiring leader model due to his profound vision of building human and civilization. The event also introduced students to the importance of agricultural development and environment preservation.

The event also featured photo exhibition showcasing agriculture and environment during Sheikh Zayed’s era, Sheikh Zayed Museum displaying old images and the tools used in agriculture, and some publications on Sheikh Zayed’s process of developing agriculture such as the book Atlas of Dates Variety. A number of lectures were given and videos shown highlighting the attention Sheikh Zayed gave to agriculture, resulting in achieving comprehensive agriculture development.  

Dr. Ismail Al Hosani, Agriculture Advisor, Farmers’ Services Center, shared his agriculture experience since 1988 and his testimonies on agriculture during Sheikh Zayed’s era. “TAFKEER”, institute of vocational innovation, launched 100 training programs to celebrate the 100th year since the late Sheikh Zayed's birth. Also participating in the event were Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority and Emirates Heritage Club.
