A brief description of the event: On May 11, the final OSCE for Year 4 medical students was successfully conducted at
the Medical Simulation Center of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. A total
of 99 students participated in the examination. The OSCE involvement of 24 faculty
examiners, supervisory staff, 48 simulated patients, and Medical Simulation Center
personnel. Preparation for this large-scale assessment team included Prof. Arif (Skills
training director), Dr. Taleb (Simulation Center director), Dr. Lolowa (Skills training
co-director), Year Coordinators, Dr. Alex, Dr. Falah, and numerous faculty members
contributed significantly to the preparation and development of the OSCE stations.
Overall, the examination process was highly successful, with smooth organization and
no major operational issues reported throughout the day. Faculty members provided
positive feedback about the students’ performances, and students expressed satisfaction
with the flow and structure of the examination. The successful conduct of this complex
assessment reflected the extensive preparation, collaboration, and coordinated efforts
of the faculty members, clinical skills leadership, and medical simulation center
team. The co-ordinations team extend their thanks to the examiners, admin staff and
students.
