BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Haddad has extensive education and experience in structural engineering and design. His Ph.D. is from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan. Dr. Haddad served as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Calgary and at Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal for three years. The post-doctoral fellowships were funded by ISIS Canada Network of Centers of Excellence (Intelligent Sensing of Innovative Structures) and NSERC Canada (Natural Science and Engineering Research Council). Dr. Haddad participated in establishing the Faculty of Engineering at Jerash University in Jordan, specifically the Civil Engineering Department, where he served as an assistant professor there for four years. His research is in the areas of finite elements, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, masonry design, and composite mechanics and engineering.
