BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Amine El Moutaouakil received his Ingenieur d’État degree in Electro-Mechanical engineering from École des Mines, Rabat, Morocco, in 2005. He then pursued his graduate studies at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan, earning his M.Eng. and Ph.D. Eng. degrees in 2008 and 2011, respectively.
Following his doctoral studies, he worked at Tohoku University as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, where he conducted research on advanced semiconductor devices. He later became an Expert Research Member at the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), Atsugi, Japan, focusing on high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) based on InP and related materials, and their applications in telecommunication, imaging, security and space applications.
Since 2017, Dr. El Moutaouakil has been a faculty member at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Al Ain, UAE. He currently serves as the Chair of the Electrical and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department. His research interests include the design, fabrication, and characterization of electronic devices for ultrahigh-frequency applications, contributing to the advancement of next-generation communication technologies.
