BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Alblooshi is currently an assistant professor in the Genetic and Genomic department in the United Arab Emirates University. She holds a PhD degree in Medical and Forensic Sciences from the University of Western Australia in 2018. She completed her Master degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Science from the University of Western Australia (2012). Dr. Alblooshi Completed her Bachelor degree in Science majoring in Genetic and Anatomy from The University of Melbourne in 2008.
Dr Alblooshi research area span both in molecular genetics and bioinformatics in multiple domains including molecular basis of rare genetic diseases with scope in autoimmune and neuropsychiatric diseases. Much of her work has been on improving the understanding of molecular and cellular roles of novel genetics variants in the pathophysiology of the diseases. She is also, interested in applying bioinformatic and Artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming genetic analysis and health care applications. With her research work she hopes to provide new insights for the pathophysiology of the disorder and improve the application of genetic technology in understating the underling biology of the disease.
