Full – Ride Scholarship for Master to PhD (UAE nationals)

The purpose of the “Full Ride Scholarship” is to recruit high achieving Emirati undergraduate students in certain majors at UAEU and provide them with full and continuous financial support to pursue their graduate studies after the Bachelor’s degree through the Master’s and Doctorate degrees at UAEU.

The goal of this program is to increase the number of Emirati students in research-based graduate programs at UAEU and to graduate more Nationals with doctorate degrees and viable research training in areas of strategic relevance to the UAE.

The Full-Ride Scholarship depends on the availability of budget. Meeting the minimum requirement for the Scholarship does not guarantee approval.

Student Eligibility:

• Have a GPA ≥ 3.5/4.0 in Bachelor degree from UAEU.
• Have no employment or other financial sponsorship.
• Enroll in a thesis-based Master’s program that leads into a PhD.
• Have thesis in one of the UAE priority sectors (Renewable Energy, Transportation, Health, Water, Technology, Space).

Benefits:

• Full tuition waiver.
• Monthly Stipend.
• Extra Bonus: Up to AED 1,500 from supervisor’s research project.

Duration:

• 6 years (2 for Master and 4 for PhD)

Duties and Expectations:

• Maintain GPA ≥ 3.5 at the Master’s level.
• Maintain GPA ≥ 3.3 at the PhD level.
• Be enrolled full-time (min. of 9 credits/semester) at the Master/PhD level. 
• Be available at UAEU full-time at the Master/PhD level.
• Commit to a minimum of 40 hours/week on courses and/or research project at the Master/PhD level.
