Faculty Professional Development Unit

This unit plans, develops, and manages the delivery of workshops, seminars, discussion panels, and forums to promote teaching & Learning excellence. All faculty and instructors are encouraged to join the FPD s activities. FPD s functions include:

• To provide certificate-based Faculty Professional Development programs in emerging teaching pedagogies supported by up-to-date instructional technologies.
• To develop and manage the delivery of Certificate in Teaching Excellence (CiTE) to both new and current faculty.
• To develop and manage the delivery of continuous certificate faculty professional development activities.
• To prepare and certify PhD Students to become e-instructors via UAEU s PhD Teaching Academy Program (jointly with The College of Graduate Studies).
