The United Arab Emirates University established the Continuing Education Center upon
the Chancellor's Decree Number 231 in 1998 to transfer the role of the university
to the serve the society and to maintain interest in human capital as a tool for development. Continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of institutions, individuals
and different sectors of the community for growth through developing skills, acquiring
knowledge and exploring potential.

Bridging Courses
The Bridging courses are offered based on the decree of the UAEU Chancelor No. (27) of 2023 regarding the admission standards for the academic years (2023/2024) and (2024/2025). This decree includes provisions for English Bridging course for students who are conditionally admitted to the university, and a bridging course in mathematics for students provisionally accepted into the university's colleges.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess the
language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language
of communication. The computer-based TOEFL iBT test, delivered via the Internet, is available at the
UAEU TOEFL iBT test center, established in 2012, for internal candidates, and to the
external community.
