Writing Center

The Writing Center provides writing support and advice to all members of the UAEU community, with the aim of helping students learn more about writing and become better writers.  Students are invited to book one-to-one consultations with writing tutors, who give feedback on writing, answer questions, and advise on writing and reading skill improvement.

The Writing Center also offers workshops and self-access learning resources to support reading and writing skill development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Writing Center s Blackboard site offers instructional videos, writing guides and practice materials on a variety of topics, such as academic reading and writing skills, professional writing, creative writing, and the IELTS writing exam. Through campus-wide engagement initiatives, such as writing competitions and student publications, the center promotes UAEU students creativity, self-expression and confidence in writing.
