Speaking Center

The Speaking Center provides all members of the UAEU community with opportunities to improve their communication skills and become more confident and effective speakers of English. By participating in one-to-one and small group tutorials with English instructors and peer tutors, students can develop and practice the following:

General English speaking and listening skills
Presentation skills
Debate and public speaking skills
IELTS exam speaking and listening tests
Interview skills

The center also offers workshops on a range of speaking-related topics and special interest group meetings for public speaking and debates. The Modern Language Program offers learning and practice of languages such as Arabic for non-native speakers, Spanish, German, Turkish, French, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese and Urdu.
