Dr. Nader Atawnah is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Department of Economics and Finance, UAE University. He completed his PhD in Corporate Finance and Governance from La Trobe University, Australia. Before that, he completed a Master of Financial Analysis from La Trobe University, Australia. Before joining UAEU, he worked at Edith Cowan University, Latrobe University, and Monash University, Australia.

He has more than 8 years of teaching finance courses such as Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Derivatives Securities, Investment, International Finance, Venture Finance, Superannuation and Retirement Planning, Personal Finance, Business Analytics, and Financial Statement Analysis.

Dr. Nader has demonstrated research and teaching excellence in his field & and has received several research awards and grants, including the best paper award at the FMCG Conference, the 2020 ECU Teaching Award, the 2021 Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) Certificate of Appreciation, the 2020 ECU Strategic Grant, 2021 AFAANZ Grant, 2022 UAEU Start-up Grant.
