Professor Fatima Al-Maskari

Professor Fatima Al-Maskari is a respected figure in the field of epidemiology and public health at the Institute of Public Health within the College of Medicine & Health Sciences at UAEU. Her academic journey began with a medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, followed by a PhD from the University of Aberdeen. She is recognized for her expertise and holds fellowships from both the Faculty of Public Health in the UK and the American College of Physicians.
Prof. Al-Maskari's contributions to scholarship have been noted, including recognition as one of the top 2% scientists at Stanford University and membership in the prestigious Mohammed bin Rashid Academy of Scientists. She has authored over 80 articles published in international journals and actively participates in scientific conferences and meetings. Additionally, she supervises PhD students and serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals, government bodies, and funding agencies.
Beyond research, Prof. Al-Maskari has held former leadership roles at UAEU, including Chair of the Department of Community Medicine, Assistant Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, and Director of the Zayed Center for Health Sciences. Her dedication to academia has earned her prestigious awards, such as the Sheikh Rashid Bin Maktoum Award for Excellent Academic Degree and the UAEU Distinguished Performance Award for Excellence in Service.
