Workshop Description
Learn how to maximize your visibility as a researcher! How to make author profiles and use identifiers, and how to effectively use researcher profiles and scholarly communications networks to develop and manage your online scholarly presence. We will introduce the main author identifiers and researcher profiles, and guide you on how to utilize them to maximize your professional impact such as ORCID, Publons, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, MOspace, h-index, impact factors and more. These identifiers and profiles help you to be visible as a researcher and to make sure your works and activities are correctly attributed to you. Since there are many available, this workshop will guide you through useful strategies for managing your online research presence by exploring the following questions:
- How you can improve your H-index and citations?
- How do you know about the quality and quantity of publications?
- Which online tools and platforms are the most useful to you?
- Which ones are worth the effort of maintaining?
- Which ones can make your life as a researcher easier?
- Which tools are most useful to search the required articles?
- How would you be establishing a relationship with a journal?
