Online Application for Ph.D. and Professional Doctorate Programs.

Service Description

To meet the needs of UAE society 8 of our 9 colleges at the United Arab Emirates University have established Ph.D. and Professional Doctorate Programs across multiple disciplines. 

Students wishing to enroll in a program can apply through our online application system.

This online service allows you to:

• Complete the online admissions application.
• Save your application to complete later (Please remember your Login ID and PIN).
• Upload documents in support of your application (each document at once).
• Submit your online application.

If you need additional assistance, you can visit the Admissions Section where a member of staff will assist you to complete the online application.

Master s degree holders (National & International).

Admissions Criteria

The College of Graduate Studies (CGS) has established minimum requirements for admissions to Ph.D. and Professional Doctorate programs. To view the minimum requirements please click here.

Documents Required: 

All applicants must complete the electronic application form. The application must be accompanied by the following documents:

Ph.D. Program:

• Identity documents for Emirati students (copy of passport, national ID and UAE identity card). International students in the UAE (copy of passport, valid visa and UAE identity card). International students outside the UAE (copy of passport only) .
• Copy of official certificates and transcripts (grade sheet) from all colleges or universities attended (Master s and Bachelor s degrees). For students with degrees from outside UAE, kindly note they should have an equivalency letter from the Ministry of Education in the UAE.An official copy of the applicant s score on the IELTS or TOEFL exam from one of the university accredited centers.
• A Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Two letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with the student s academic work.

Professional Doctorate Programs

• Identity documents for Emirati students (copy of passport, national ID and UAE identity card). International students in the UAE (copy of passport, valid visa and UAE identity card). International students outside the UAE (copy of passport only).
• Copy of official certificates and transcripts (grade sheet) from all colleges or universities attended (Master s and Bachelor s degrees). For students with degrees from outside the UAE, kindly note they should have an equivalency letter from the Ministry of Education in the UAE.
• An official copy of the applicant s score on the IELTS or TOEFL exam from one of the university s accredited centers.

• A detailed curriculum vitae (CV).
• At least five years of relevant work experience at executive/management level.
• Three confidential letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with the student s academic work.
• A motivation letter (up to 1000 words) written in the same language as the PDP s language of instruction.

Important Dates

Applicants must submit their online application during the application period announced on the university website. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance after the Vice Chancellor s approval.

Fees

Applicants can deposit their PhD or Professional Doctorate  Program fees  using their visa cards through the online application. To view the tuition fees of the PhD and Professional Doctorate Programs, please visit the Program and Accommodation Fees webpage.

Problem Resolution Time

From one hour to maximum of three days depending on the severity of the issue.
