Undergraduate Student Research Conference

Every year, the Student Success Unit (SSU) organizes an Undergraduate Student Research Conference. The objective is to promote undergraduate research and creative activities among students in the United Arab Emirates. It is an opportunity for students to showcase their research capabilities and endeavors. Students’ participation is welcomed in all fields and disciplines.

The Student Success Unit makes the conference a learning journey for research students. Alongside the conference, SSU offers specific workshops to support UAEU students who have been selected to present in the conference. These workshops and training sessions cover abstract writing, research poster design, oral presentations, and other support services relevant to participation in an academic research event

Goals

1. Foster undergraduate research among the United Arab Emirates University students.
2. Acquire the experience of presenting at a research conference in a sheltered environment.
3. Gain a new appreciation for open research questions in other universities, perhaps leading to richer inter-college and interdisciplinary research in the future.
4. Give students a deeper understanding of the topics in their major by explaining them to conference attendees.
5. Highlight the research that top scholars, and their advisors are carrying out around the Gulf region.
