Overview
The United Arab Emirates University has established the National Faculty Recruitment and Development Office, which offers scholarships to exceptional UAE national candidates who are highly motivated to pursue higher education and careers in academia. These scholarships provide a generous monthly stipend and fully cover tuition fees, travel expenses for the candidate and their family, as well as health insurance throughout their master's and PhD studies.
In order to enhance and support the university’s Teaching Assistant Program (TA), an agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties and establish a fruitful strategic partnership by developing joint frameworks and coordinating with relevant entities to advance cooperation in various fields, especially in the development of national talents both academically and professionally. The agreement also seeks to encourage the Emirati generation to pursue continuous education, leading to an educational leap and advanced academic curricula that align with the future governmental directions for preparing generations according to the country’s strategic plans and vision. Furthermore, it enhances institutional collaboration to build a partnership between the two parties, achieving mutual strategic goals in lifelong learning and coordinating joint efforts to improve performance, streamline recruitment and scholarship procedures.
We urge faculty members to identify top senior student, whom they believe would be a suitable candidate in terms of grades, caliber, moral standing, and stamina for higher education and to discuss the student's credentials with both the department chair and the TA Office so that we can invite him/her for an interview as soon as possible.
