Our center offers a variety of services and trainings designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals. In addition to the development of communication skills through simulated patient interactions, we provide specialized simulation services in the following areas:
- Medical Emergency Simulation
- Surgical Simulation
- Obstetrics & Gynecology Simulation
- Cardiopulmonary Simulation
- Pediatric Simulation
We are also accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) to offer Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Additionally, we provide Community Health Training, contributing to the overall health and safety of our community.
Medical students, including those in pre-medical years, are welcome to attend and participate in workshops offered at the center. Participation is encouraged and aligned with their related medical curriculum activities, providing valuable hands-on experience and skills development.
It is possible to request specific or extra clinical sessions as needed. The center is committed to providing learners with ample opportunities for clinical practice in a safe environment, tailored to their specific goals and needs.
It is not allowed to borrow materials from the center. All practice and exam preparations must be conducted on-site to ensure safety and compliance with health protocols.
The center offers a variety of task trainers, mid-fidelity, and high-fidelity simulators. For further details, please contact the simulation center.
Students are responsible for purchasing their own medical equipment during their first year to support infection control policies. Recommended items include:
- Stethoscope (Litman Classic II or III)
- Blood Pressure Cuff
- Pen Light
- Monofilament (10 grams)
- Tuning Fork (128, 256, 512 Hz)
- Reflex Hammer (Riester Queens)
- Ophthalmoscope/Otoscope (recommended)
- White Long Lab Coat
Simulated patients are available only upon request. All requests for practice sessions are processed by the simulation center. For scheduling, please contact the center directly to arrange sessions with simulated patients.
Requests for the presence of simulated patients are processed within a span of two working days. Please ensure that your request is submitted in advance to allow adequate time for scheduling.
Students are allowed to practice in the center from Sunday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, except during planned OSCEs (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations).
Guidelines for history taking and physical examination are provided for each skill before the commencement of each session. These guidelines ensure that learners are well-prepared and informed about the procedures and expectations for their practice.
Certainly, students can practice on the suture equipment available in the center.
Learners can practice on the available ultrasound machine. Please note that you may also need to book a simulated patient in advance for this activity.
