Program Details

Early Childhood Education:

The MEd in Early Childhood Education concentration is being offered from Fall 2022. The concentration is offered by the Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) Department. This concentration is innovative and the first of its kind in the UAE. It focuses on those who work with children from birth to 8 years of age. The offered courses cover a wide range of interests and will enable a full and comprehensive understanding of the field.

 

Curriculum & Instruction:

The MEd in Curriculum and Instruction concentration offers five different tracks (English, Arabic, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies). The tracks are offered by the C&I Department. These cutting edge, dynamic tracks prepare teachers/practitioners to be experts in their area, competent in the most up to date evidence-based practices and able to initiate and facilitate progress in their fields.

 

Special Education:

The MEd in Special Education concertation is offered by the Special Education (SPED) Department. The concentration is practice-oriented with a commitment to preparing highly qualified professional educators who are able to better serve students with special needs. These professionals will demonstrate competencies in evidence-based instructional strategies and best practices in the field of special education. The goal of this concertation is to prepare candidates to advocate for students with special needs and their families. 

 

Foundations of Education:

The MEd in Educational Leadership concertation is offered by the Foundation of Education (FOED) Department. There is an increasing demand from the labor market on our graduate programs as they fit well into the national needs of the country in preparing future educational leaders. Graduates of the MEd in Educational Leadership concertation are well placed to take up leadership positions in schools and in higher level educational management.
