Undergraduate Admissions (Previous High School Students)
UAE National and Children of National Mothers (classified as priority 2 – P2), in addition to international students, and children of UAEU staff and faculty members will be considered for Direct Admissions only, based on Satisfying the following requirements:

Completion of High School (Grade 12) Certificate or its equivalent, within a period that is more than one year but doesn’t exceed three years upon submitting their application, and with a minimum score of 80%, or its equivalent.
- Minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS (Academic), or 525 in TOEFL (ITP), or 70 in TOEFL (iBT), or 194 in TOEFL (CBT), or 1250 in EmSAT English.
Colleges’ Entry Qualifications
Students are assigned to the Colleges in accordance with the instructional capacity available in each College, and based on satisfying the following entry qualifications:
Final (Direct) Admission to the College:
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Mathematics, or the equivalent mathematics readiness
tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a minimum score of (590).
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT in one of the three science subjects (Chemistry, or Physics, or Biology), or the equivalent
related science subject’s readiness tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
Final (Direct) Admission to the College:
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Mathematics, or the equivalent mathematics readiness
tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a minimum score of (590).
- A minimum score of (800) in EmSAT Physics and Chemistry, or the equivalent science readiness tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- A minimum High School (Grade 12) Grade of (80%) in Physics and Chemistry.
- General Track students will be considered under special circumstances provided that a minimum overall average of 90% is achieved along with a minimum high school (Grade 12) grade of 90% in Mathematics.
Final (Direct) Admission to the College:
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Mathematics, or the equivalent mathematics readiness
tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a minimum score of (590).
- A minimum score of (800) in EmSAT Physics and in one of the two science subjects Chemistry or Biology, or the equivalent science readiness tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- A minimum High School (Grade 12) Grade of (80%) in Physics and in one of the two science subjects Chemistry or Biology.
- General Track students will be considered under special circumstances provided that a minimum overall average of 90% is achieved along with a minimum high school (Grade 12) grade of 90% in Mathematics.

- A minimum score of (800) in EmSAT in one of the three science subjects (Chemistry, or Physics, or Biology), or the equivalent
related science subject’s readiness tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (3).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (5).
- A minimum High School (Grade 12) Grade of (85%) for the General Track and Applied Track students and (80%) for the other Tracks in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
Final (Direct) Admission to the College:
Minimum High School (Grade 12) Grade of (80%) in Mathematics and either Biology or Chemistry, or a minimum score of (800) in EmSAT Mathematics and either Biology or Chemistry.
- Minimum High School (Grade 12) Grade of (80%) in Mathematics, and Biology, and Chemistry, or a minimum score of (800) in EmSAT Mathematics, and Biology, and
- To join the program at the end of year 1 in the college, the student must satisfy
the following:
- A minimum university GPA of 2.5.
- Passing the Mini Multiple Interviews (MMI).
- A minimum score of (900) in EmSAT Arabic, or a score of (6) in the Arabic Competency Exam.
- Passing the bridging (prerequisite) course, Arabic for Law (ARBU150).
- A minimum score of (600) in EmSAT Mathematics, or the equivalent mathematics readiness
tests including:
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a minimum score of (485).
Final (Direct) Admission to the College:
- A minimum score of (800) in EmSAT Mathematics, or the equivalent mathematics readiness
tests including:
- For the American system or its equivalent: Advanced Placement (AP) with a minimum score of (2).
- For the British system or its equivalent: General Certificate of Education (GCE) with a minimum score of (C).
- International Baccalaureate (IB-High Level Exam) with a minimum score of (4).
- Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) with a minimum score of (555).
Transfer students and those continuing their studies might be exempted from providing a valid EmSAT score for the qualifications required for admission to the various colleges and majors, in the event that they obtained the required scores in advance during their studies at the previous institution; under the condition that evidence is provided.
