Emirates Technology and Innovation Competition (Programming Category) First Place

A team from the College of Information Technology and the College of Science: Ali Aljefri and Hussain Alasmawi, coached by Dr. Saad Harous won the first place in the ETIC Programming Competition. The Emirates Technology and Innovation Competition (ETIC) is a four-day competition which was held from 23 -26 April, 2018 in Abu Dhabi. ETIC, which is jointly organized by Khalifa University and the Ministry of Education, is a great opportunity for UAE national students to measure their skills against those of their peers from other institutions, acquire valuable experience, compete for prizes, engage potential employers, socialize with the other peers, and to enhance their knowledge in the areas of interest. It also aims to identify bright UAE minds who would excel in a variety of ICT areas. There are many categories, among them: Computer Programming, Cyber Security, Mobile Applications, Game Development, Drones: Build and Fly, and Electronics.
