The United Arab Emirates University, in collaboration with the Al Ain Youth Council and as part of the initiatives of the university’s Knowledge Club, organized the “Youth and Knowledge Forum,” which aimed to empower young people to actively contribute to knowledge creation, and to enhance systems of creative thinking and thought leadership within an engaging environment that encourages the exchange of experiences and ideas.

The forum was held on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, with the participation of numerous students, young speakers, representatives of supporting institutions, and those interested in youth and knowledge-related work. The program included discussion sessions and interactive workshops focusing on exploring the future of knowledge and the role of youth in building educated and innovative communities.

On this occasion, H.E.Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, affirmed that the university places great importance on strengthening the role of youth in national development by supporting their scientific and intellectual capacities and providing an academic environment that fosters creativity and innovation. He noted that this forum represents a model of integration between academic institutions and youth councils in building an aware generation that effectively contributes to establishing a knowledge-based society.

He added: “As the nation’s first university, UAEU continues to embrace initiatives that enrich youth intellectual development, open pathways for constructive dialogue, and support the activation of students’ potential in serving the nation and society in line with the UAE’s future vision.”

The Al Ain Youth Council emphasized that organizing the forum comes as part of its ongoing efforts to create knowledge-driven spaces that support talents in the city of Al Ain, reinforce a culture of dialogue and critical thinking, and strengthen connections between academic institutions and youth-led initiatives.

The forum opened with an inaugural session featuring H.E. Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority who discussed the importance of knowledge as a driving force for personal and professional development. This was followed by discussion sessions that brought together a group of young pioneers and entrepreneurs, who shared their practical experiences and paths of transforming ideas into community-impactful projects, highlighting the importance of persistence and innovation in overcoming challenges and achieving aspirations.

The sessions also addressed several themes focusing on empowering youth capabilities, enhancing self-confidence, strengthening national identity, and promoting the values of work as a foundation for building aware and capable individuals who contribute to societal progress. Participants also discussed the importance of producing purposeful content and its role in shaping awareness and promoting positive messaging in digital media, as well as future career pathways and informed academic decision-making. Attention was also given to youth mental health as a cornerstone of quality of life and sustainable productivity.

The forum concluded by emphasizing the importance of transforming knowledge into practice and enhancing youth participation in national development pathways in alignment with the UAE’s future vision of a society founded on creativity and knowledge.
