The Second Summer Camp 2025, organized by the College of Education at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), has officially kicked off. The camp is designed for the children of university faculty, staff, and students, as part of community initiatives aimed at developing children’s skills and making productive use of the summer break through a blend of educational and entertaining activities.

Running for two weeks, the camp features a daily program of diverse, interactive sessions aimed at nurturing children’s abilities across various fields, including Mathematics, Science, Arts, and Languages. These activities are delivered in an educational environment that balances fun and learning while encouraging creative thinking, teamwork, and communication.

This year, the camp welcomed 27 students aged between 5 and 11 years old. The program is supervised by 16 faculty members from the College of Education, selected from a competitive pool of 60 applicants representing various academic majors and educational levels.

Dr. Ahmed Al Kaabi, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, commented on the event: “At the College of Education, we are keen on enhancing our community role through interactive initiatives such as this camp. It not only benefits children, but also provides a new opportunity to shape their educational skills and promote a sense of responsibility. We aim to develop this program into a comprehensive university-wide project that serves the broader society.”

The organization of this camp reflects the College of Education’s commitment to strengthening social bonds and offering safe, stimulating learning spaces for children. These efforts support core educational values and foster a culture of lifelong learning among the younger generation.

It is worth noting that this camp is part of a series of annual educational initiatives launched by the college, reaffirming its role in community engagement and enhancing the university’s positive impact on both families and the wider educational environment.
