In the presence of College Deans and the Human Resources Department staff, the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) held an orientation for the  new faculty members who were hired for the academic year 2019/2020 in various scientific disciplines in the colleges.

In his speech to the new faculty members, Prof. Ghaleb Al Breiki, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Provost stressed the university's interest in scientific research and its employment to face the challenges of the future, as well as to participate in the promotion of creative and innovative efforts of our students to the global initiatives and research innovations in line with the requirements of the UAE National Agenda , aspirations in the development of higher education and scientific research , providing community service.

Besides, Prof. Al Breiki pointed out that the UAEU has become a prominent educational institution by all standards and is ranked among the most prestigious universities globally. Most of its programs have international accreditation, such as the accreditation of the Western American Association of Colleges and Universities (WASC). After its successful renovation during the past periods into a research university, creativity, innovation, research and scientific attaches special importance and provides it with all means of support, which has become one of its strategic priorities in order to achieve the sustainable development identified by the country as part of its National Strategy for Science 2030, it aims to confirm the preparation of qualified national cadres and graduates for the requirements and needs of the labor market in the country, and provide educational ,research services, and a scientific environment up to international standards take part in the enhancement of knowledge wealth in society and support national initiatives.

The Human Resources Department, through its various staff and units, provided technical support to the new faculty members so they can start the first semester of the current academic year by completing their administrative and legal procedures, health insurance, housing and providing facilities within the new faculty onboarding program, which enables them to settle down and be happy in both UAEU and Al Ain City.
