Graduate Student Development Program Offers a Workshop on Introduction to Photography

Target Audience
This workshop is mainly intended for Masters and Doctorate students. Undergraduates interested are welcome to attend. It is also open to anyone interested in photography as a hobby, and who wants to discover the art and science behind taking a photo.

Workshop Description
This workshop is aimed to help students in the following areas: i) understand the basics of photography by learning how to adjust the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings and be able to identify the best combination of settings, using the exposure triangle ii) learn how to compose and take photos effectively, iii) examine common photography terminology.
Resources
Please bring a functioning digital camera, your full attention, good mood and a big smile to the workshop. Wear light and comfortable clothing (walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, bottle of water, etc. as well!) as a large portion of this workshop will be held outdoors! If you feel you might need to take notes, feel free to bring an iPad, or a notebook, however, this is not necessary.
