Brief Description: Albert Camus wrote La Peste; The Plague in 1947. Camus painstakingly described the different stages of a plague epidemic such as it would have occurred in Oran, Algeria. Camus constructed his novel in the form of a classic Greek tragedy with five acts. In this seminar, the main stages of the plague as an infectious disease in Camus' novel will be presented the way they were portrayed in this novel.
