UAEU Alumni Award for Women Empowerment
This award aims to recognize the efforts of the graduates of the United Arab Emirates University aimed at empowering women and activating their role as one of the partners in achieving parity and achieving societal stability. In addition to enhancing the role of women in advancing the comprehensive and sustainable development of community institutions.
This award is given to graduates who meet one or more of the following:
- Has a balance of leadership skills in her specialty, and has tangible and sustainable contributions to the development of women in her work and society.
- Has taken actions to raise the status of women during the stages of education, awareness, literacy and training.
- Played an important role in discussing issues related to women and / or developed methods for empowering women.
- Has an important role in overcoming challenges in her job, and has achievements in specialization, whether as a mentor or a volunteer.
1- Excellence and Achievement (300 points)
This criterion focuses on the noteworthy and exceptional accomplishments of graduates throughout their careers. It also focuses on the quantity and quality of these accomplishments and whether they have resulted in continued success and contribution to their profession at the local, national and / or international levels.
2- Creativity and Innovation (200 points)
This criterion focuses on the level of distinction, exclusivity and innovation, as well as the uniqueness of the graduate's ideas and / or achievements. It also focuses on how the achievements of graduates have resulted in positive change or significant impact on society through creativity and innovation.
3- Support of UAEU (150 points)
This criterion focuses on the level of support provided to the United Arab Emirates University. Supporting the initiatives of the United Arab Emirates University through continuous participation with the United Arab Emirates University, and actively participating in events or activities organized / approved by the university and / or submitted to the university in the form of endowment or financial contributions.
4- Level of contributions (local, regional and international) (150 points)
This standard focuses on the outstanding contributions that alumni have made to local, regional and international communities, through professional activities, creative and innovative practices and ideas, which have had a significant impact. This effect can include professional and societal achievements.
5- Impact on Others / Adding Values (200 points)
This criterion focuses on the significant impact on others as a result of the graduates' outstanding achievements in community service in one chosen area (award category). The great impact on society is the result of continuous contribution of great time and effort to improve and develop the community.
