The UAEU is Ranked First Locally in the QS Subject Ranking in Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Management for the Year 2023

The United Arab Emirates University has made a quantum leap in the QS subject ranking
for the year 2023, which reflects the ambitious vision of the university to become
a research university focusing on creativity and innovation through academic programs
and high-quality scientific and applied research. This, in turn, enhances the university’s
global reputation.
According to the QS subject ranking for the year 2023, the UAEU is ranked first locally in three main specialized fields: Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Management. The university is also ranked first, jointly with another local university, in Arts and Humanities. In Engineering and Technology, the university is ranked second nationally. At the global level, the university is ranked 260th, jointly with another university. In Social Sciences and Management, the university is ranked 293 globally jointly with another university.
In addition, the Civil and Structural Engineering major is ranked 151-200 globally, and first locally, jointly with another university. The Petroleum Engineering major is ranked 51-100 globally, and second locally jointly with another university. In the subject of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, the UAEU is ranked 201-250 globally.
Prof. Ahmed Ali Murad, Associate Provost for Research, and the Chairman of the UAE University International Ranking Committee explained that the university, through research capabilities and environment, seeks to achieve global leadership in research and innovation. This will consequently help to achieve quantum leaps in the international rankings. The university pays great attention to those initiatives that help achieve effective research partnerships. The university endeavors to reinforce international research cooperation through research programs and strategic projects that can have a significant impact on the development of science and contribute to finding innovative solutions to common golabal challenges.
Prof. Ahmed Murad also confirmed that the University's International Ranking Committee follows an action plan that includes a number of research and scientific initiatives and activities and contribute to building an international reputation for the university through short and long-term qualitative international strategic partnerships. This would benefit the faculty members, researchers and students.
