Workshop Description
Graduate school can be demanding—filled with numerous deadlines, significant research pressures, lots of teaching responsibilities, and the ongoing challenge of balancing personal well-being with professional success. Often, graduate students find themselves simply trying to “survive” the experience rather than truly flourishing. This workshop is crafted to help graduate students reframe their experience and learn strategies that foster both their academic achievement and personal fulfillment. Participants will explore tools for managing stress, cultivating resilience, developing effective work-life integration, and building supportive networks. The workshop will also highlight evidence-based approaches to motivation, productivity, and self-care that can make the graduate journey more sustainable and rewarding.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Identify common challenges in graduate school and strategies to navigate them.
- Learn practical techniques for managing time, energy, and stress.
- Discover ways to align academic work with personal values and goals.
- Build a mindset and toolkit that promotes thriving in both academic and personal spheres.
