Eligibility Criteria for the Fellowship

• Students must have completed at least one semester with 9 credits in their Master’s program.
• Must maintain a GPA of 3.8 or above.
• Be enrolled full-time (min. of 9 credits/semester).
• Be available at UAEU on a full-time basis (i.e. from 8 am to 5 pm).
• Monthly Stipend: AED 3,000/month.
• Commit to 5 hours/week as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) or Graduate Administrative Assistant (GAA).
• The student must not have any other supporting financial resources, but may hold other scholarship awards simultaneously.
•  Awardees will receive an official award letter outlining the fellowship benefits and responsibilities.
• Employed students are not eligible to apply.
• The COE Fellowship will be suspended if any of the above conditions are violated, and the student will not be eligible to reapply.

• Must have a B.Sc. GPA of 3.5 or above.   
• Applicants must not hold any external sponsorship. 

Currently, Enrolled Students:

• B.Sc. GPA between 3.0 and 3.5 and M.Sc. GPA between 3.5 and 3.79.        
• B.Sc. GPA below 3.0 and M.Sc. GPA between 3.6 and 3.79.   
• M.Sc. GPA of 3.8 or higher who have not yet completed 12 credit hours.      
• Applicants must not hold any external sponsorship. 

Conditions to Maintain the Scholarship: 

• Enroll in at least 6 credits each semester during the M.Sc. study at UAEU.       
• Maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher in all subsequent semesters.

Graduate Research Assistantship (GRA) positions are provided within the budget of sponsored research projects. A GRA is assigned research tasks while he/she pursues graduate education. A faculty could submit for RA position application on an existing research fund or with a new research proposal. Once the application is approved and the position is formed, the faculty will be assigned as the hiring manager, and the selection of the candidate to be given the offer will be entirely up to him/her.
