Application Procedures, Requirements and Deadlines
- Nomination and Application
Interested UAEU students who have successfully completed at least 30 credit hours prior to the study abroad semester may apply to their college coordinator (see list below) to study at a university which has a student exchange agreement with UAEU.
College | Name | Telephone | |
---|---|---|---|
College of Business and Economics | Mrs. Zeineb Khalfallah | zeineb.k@uaeu.ac.ae | +971 3 713 5265 |
Other Colleges | Ms. Rana Bader AL Katheeri | SEProgram@uaeu.ac.ae | +971 3 713 5816 |
Students nominated for study abroad will be guided through the application process of the host university. The final acceptance decision is made by the host university.
- Permission to Study Abroad at the Host University
It is the student’s responsibility to seek his/her UAEU academic advisor’s approval for the courses to be studied abroad. In cases where there are not enough courses at the host university to be credited to the student’s UAEU study plan, the student may elect to study some courses which are not credited to his/her UAEU record. Students must enroll as a full-time student at the host university.
- Visa and Accommodation
The host university will provide the students with supporting documents to apply for the study visa in the host country. However, students remain responsible for applying for the necessary visas at the host country embassy in the UAE.
The availability and type of student housing varies across host institutions. The host university will assist the students in finding adequate housing. Students should enquire about the availability, type, and cost of housing prior to selecting the host university for their studies abroad.
- Application Deadlines:
Fall Semester: February 15
Spring Semester: October 15
