Activities

The UAEU Social Club (Al Multaqa) organizes an array of cultural, social, artistic and sports activities to meet the needs of the UAEU community members and their families. Al Multaqa is keen on hosting various seminars and lectures organized by UAEU colleges and departments, in addition to its role in serving the external community through hosting events organized by the government and private entities. Al Multaqa also seeks to sign agreements with various entities to offer UAEU community discounts and reductions.

Social and cultural activities

The aim of organizing social and cultural activities is to consolidate social relations among UAEU community members and contribute to raising cultural and religious awareness through:

• Organizing programs, activities, social and educational evenings, lectures, seminars and cultural meetings.

• Organizing social, recreational and shopping trips within the UAE; allowing members to get acquainted with each other, make friends, exchange experiences and visit tourist sites in the UAE.

• Overseeing public events including holidays, national days, graduation ceremonies and special events such as condolences, etc.

•  Contributing to the organization of training courses for staff.

Art & Sports Activities:

The UAEU Social Club aims to raise sports, health and fitness awareness among UAEU community through encouraging them to get involved in various sports activities including karate, taekwondo, squash, football and volleyball, as well as other activities that enhance female fitness.

Al Multaqa participates in different sports championships that suits different age groups, with a number of its athletes won first places in several sports tournaments. The University Social Club organizes an annual entertaining Sports Day, contributing to promoting social relations among UAEU community members, and enhancing their loyalty to the university.

The University Social Club also organizes art and heritage exhibitions with the aim of promoting the culture of art and literature and enhancing the UAE heritage.
