Overview
The Risk Management Office was established in the University by His Excellency the Chancellor Decree for 2017. The Risk Management Office is one of the professional offices in the United Arab Emirates University. It is functionally under supervision of the Audit and Risk Committee of the University Council and administratively under supervision of the University Vice Chancellor in accordance with the principle of transparency and compliance with international laws and standards and best practices in this regard.
The Risk Management Office is responsible for developing a comprehensive and exemplary risk management framework at the university level, overseeing the implementation of ERM tasks and activities by hedging and minimizing the possibility of discrepancies and uncertainty in achieving objectives and better performance in the tasks and operations of the various organizational units. It also promotes awareness and culture of risk management in the organization at different organizational units and functional levels, and supports senior management in overcoming challenges and the development of policies, regulations and internal controls in line with international standards and practices.
