It is my privilege to introduce the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation (AIDI) at United Arab Emirates University. AIDI represents the natural evolution of our Big Data Analytics Center (BIDAC), reflecting both the transformative potential of AI and our commitment to the UAE's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031.
At AIDI, we believe AI can be a powerful force for good improving healthcare, strengthening governance, advancing education, and building a more sustainable future. Our research spans fundamental and applied AI, with special attention to responsible innovation, and solutions grounded in our unique cultural and regional context.
We're equally passionate about developing the next generation of AI researchers and innovators. Through research fellowships, and partnerships with government and industry, we're building the talent and knowledge infrastructure the UAE needs to lead in this field.
Our mission is straightforward: to produce world-class AI research that serves society and strengthens the UAE's position as a global leader in intelligent systems. Together, we can build a future defined not just by data, but by wisdom, equity, and innovation.
