United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) - Top Universities in Middle East

The University Libraries Club was inaugurated on September 10, 2024, with the aim of enhancing cultural and knowledge engagement between the library and the local community of the United Arab Emirates University. This initiative aligns with the strategic objectives of the United Arab Emirates University to provide proactive services and a high-quality student experience.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the club has set a goal to focus on serving people of determination (individuals with special needs). This initiative was led by the club's founders, Ms. Shamma Al-Amri, Library Specialist at the Guidance and Outreach Unit, and Ms. Latifa Al-Amri, Library Specialist at the Research and Access Services Unit and the founder of the "Himma" team.

The club aims to improve access to library resources and services for students with special needs at the United Arab Emirates University, enabling them to benefit from the library's resources and services. The "Himma" team is dedicated to providing the necessary support for students with special needs by offering a range of services on campus, including:

  • Delivery and collection of library materials
  • Printing, scanning, and document submission services
  • Library escort services

Various goals and initiatives serving the university and local community will be established at the beginning of every academic year.
