UAEU Funds 189 Summer Research Projects to Equip Students for Future Careers

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has announced funding for Summer Undergraduate
Research Program aimed at equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills
to meet the demands of the future job market. This initiative underscores UAEU’s commitment
to fostering academic excellence and research innovation by creating an environment
that encourages continuous learning, critical thinking, and the pursuit of knowledge.
According to Professor Ahmed Murad, Associate Provost for Research, UAEU, the funding will cover 189 research projects involving 803 students from various colleges and disciplines. The projects are extensively spread across different colleges:
- Science: 34 projects
- Engineering: 42 projects
- Medicine and Health Sciences: 34 projects
- Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences: 9 projects
- Information Technology: 24 projects
- Humanities and Social Sciences: 15 projects
- Business and Economics: 17 projects
- Education: 13 projects
- Law: 1 project
The funded projects span a wide array of academic and scientific fields, ensuring a holistic approach to research and study. These areas include natural sciences, engineering, technology, medicine, social sciences, and humanities, thereby fostering a rich, interdisciplinary research culture.
With this significant investment, UAEU aims to enhance student skills and readiness for future careers, contributing to the advancement of academic and scientific research in the UAE.
