The College of Education at UAEU hosted its first summer camp for the children of teaching faculty members and staff, aged 11 to 15 years old, as part of its endeavor to enhance children’s educational skills. The camp is scheduled to run until July 25 and will be held in the laboratories and halls of the College of Education, providing an ideal educational environment.

According to Prof. Hala Elhoweris, Acting Dean of the College of Education, the college has provided all the necessary support to ensure the success of this educational initiative. She stated, “We are proud to offer our students a comprehensive educational program that includes various educational, sports, and artistic activities aligned with modern academic standards in education. This program is not just an opportunity for education; it is an investment in building the skills of the next generation.” She added that the activities include 34 students benefiting from various educational classes in Arabic and English, Applied Technology, Mathematics, as well as Science, Technology, and Engineering. She also added that the final week of the program will focus on the environment and nature, reflecting the college’s deep commitment to promoting students' skills in various aspects and preparing them to be active citizens and contributors to the development of their society.

Dr. Mona Aljanahi, Vice Dean of the College of Education, mentioned that this program is an outstanding initiative by students Hajer Al Kuwaiti and Noura Al Kindi. She added, “Through this initiative, we aim to empower the upcoming graduates by refining their essential educational skills as well as enhancing their academic abilities.” Sixteen junior and senior students are participating in the camp, selected based on their academic excellence and following interviews conducted under the supervision of teaching faculty members. The camp reflects significant educational and academic value, and the students responsible for training and teaching are committed to applying modern educational standards accurately and professionally. We are confident that this summer camp at UAEU will refine students' skills in various areas and prepare them to be active citizens and contributors to their community's progress.
